Tuesday afternoon Co-op

 Every Tuesday afternoon, I have my co-op shift.  Last Tuesday we headed to Prescott Park which is a neighboring community to Waterfall and played all afternoon.  It was a perfect day for the park.  The kids started to get too hot at the end with long sleeves.  I've had to remind myself that it is January at times!  Sam and Joshy are best buds.  They have gone to Miss Heather's Preschool for two years now together.  Then they get to play after it at least one or two days a week.  They love to play video games, 'Batman Lincoln logs', and legos.  Cuties!!

Leah Okuda also carpools with us this year.  They love to go to school together and had lots of fun at the park.  Prescott Park is one of our favorites....its perfect for this age.

Josh's real #5 day

 To our little Joshy...thanks for making our lives so fun!  You are the cutest little guy.  His presents were:  a squishy pokey ball, ToY Story 3 for the XBox, some more 'batman lincoln logs' as he calls them, a coloring book, and a hotwheels track for the bath tub.  What a great day! 

Daddy and Hanna spent a lot of time getting this LEGO Indian Jones cake just right.  Didn't it turn out great? 

 No Indiana Jones party would be complete without an adventure with a MAP!  All of his presents were stolen from the table while he was playing upstairs.  He had lots skills to accomplish before he could find them.   

 First he had to "whip" some bad guys into shape on the trampoline. 

 Next he crawled through a cave with lots of spiders and snakes

 Then he had to read a chart to find which Heiroglyphics were the letters in his name and jump on them

 Then he had to outrun a giant boulder chasing him down the stairs

And finally pick the Holy Grail out of the "options"....tricky with the BYU mug in the mix, but he picked the right one which had a LEGO in it symbolizing where his presents were hidden. On the LEGO box of course!!

Build-a-Bear - I mean Wolf

 This year for Josh's Birthday we took him on a surprise family field trip to Build a Bear Workshop.  Luckily Martin Luther King Day was the day before his big day so the kids could all come along and join in the fun.  The three older kids have had a turn at Build a Bear before so it was just for Josh this time. 

 It was a hard decision when we got there looking at all the different animal options....but finally he chose the gray and white wolf. 

 Josh's animal is extra special because he got to put a singing button in one of his hands.  So when you push it, you hear the theme song to Star Wars! 

 Every Build a Bear animal needs a heart!

 The first hug and bath.  Hanna helped him by showing him how to do it with her Build a Bear named Tiara.  Josh took the "Air Bath" very serious making sure to brush all over his Wolf. 

 I was lucky enough to get to help Josh dress his wolf in the outfit hand picked by Josh.  He chose the Obi Wan Kenobi Jedi outfit with a light saber.  Jake decided to use his Christmas money from Grandpa Anderson to buy a new outfit for his Build a Bear named Ben.  He chose the Darth Vader outfit and light saber so now the two of them fight each other! 

Dressed up and ready to head him with his new owner!!!  Josh named his wolf Obi Wan.  The kids were really sweet helping Josh sign him up on the computers and making the Birth Certificate and helping him choose the outfit.  It was a fun family outing! 

Josh was pretty excited to head home carrying THE BOX.... (you know the box that all the lucky kids carry around the mall when its their lucky day!) 

A Perfect Sledding Day at Mt. Charleston

 Mt. Charleston has been hit with a lot of snow this year.  We always take the kids at least once every winter to play.  The saturday of Martin Luther King Jr. day is when we headed up this year.  It was almost too warm with our jackets.  We took them off for part of the time.

CRAZY Movie night

We've got a recipe of how to have a really loud, crazy fun evening for your 7 and 5 year old boy.  First order pizza, serve soda, cookies, and popcorn, and invite over 10 of their closest friends.  Let them play twister and UNO and then watch "Home Alone" on a big screen TV.  It will be so loud and crazy at your house and your boys will never forget it.  Neither will you.....your headache will keep reminding you. 

There isn't a more perfect movie for this age group.  They laughed so loud at any part where the bad guys got hurt.  So pretty much the whole second half of the movie.  It was so fun to watch.  I video recorded them just watching the movie and laughing because I kept getting the giggles watching them!

Kristen's Birthday Bash

We started the evening out at BJ's in Summerlin. We ate yummy salads, pizza, pasta, and of course PaZookies (I mean who can resist) right?  Then we apparently took a lot of pictures of each other....but when you look this good why not.

Next we headed over to BINGO at Red Rock Casino.  Yes, you read right, BINGO.  We know how to partay hard here in Vegas.  Besides we didn't want Kristen to be sad that she's getting older so we went to hang out with our "senior friends"!  And ohhhhh Boy,  if you want to feel younger this is the activity for you. 

I'm not sure how these two were laughing and visiting because there is a lot more skill involved than you think or at least attention needed to be paid to your BINGO sheets.  You have to watch six different squares at the same time.  And if you get behind well then you have to read the big number marquis around the room and wow I'm getting stressed just thinking about it.  No just kidding...I don't want to discourage anyone from going:)

Seriously what a fun night. These girls make me laugh some of them have been BINGO-ing for years. Someone commented that they were sad they didn't win...to which Ashley laughed at and said, "Silly, you really thought you were going to win? I've been playing for nine years and never won!" Maybe next time...I think I'm addicted.

Hangin' with Cole

I am super cute.  I am playful.  I am two years and three months old. 

I can say lots of sentences.  I love my family.  I said my first prayer the other night.  Daddy said the words and then I repeated them real quiet.  I love to play with my cars from the Disney movie CARS. 

I got mommy all to myself this afternoon.  We played outside.  She took pictures.  I smiled.  We giggled.  I pushed the wagon.  I had a long walk in the wagon.  I stood up in the wagon. 

I drew a "fishy" on the sidewalk.  Then I drew on my clothes.  Then a accidently sat in the chalk drawings and got green all over my pants and shoelaces.  Then I wanted to make mom's pants pretty green too.

Mommy tried to take a picture of us together.  Her arms weren't long enough.  So we giggled and snuggled and hugged instead. 

I got to help put the wagon away.  We had to reposition the bikes so that it would fit and leave room for Daddy's car.  We put balls in the wagon so they won't roll under the cars. 

I always carry at least one car with me wherever I go.  These cars and BUZZ sat on the bumper of our car and watched me play.  My favorite cars are Lightening, Doc, Sherriff, and Chick.  But I LOVE the others too. 
BUZZ came in my stocking.  I carry him a lot too.  He keeps me entertained while Mommy shops and shops and shops.  Sometimes I throw him across the store in desperation.  Then I cry because I want my BUZZ. 

I am getting better at waiting for my favorite lunch to cook.  I got my favorite lunch today.  I love Mac-e-monies.  I like two servings of it.  I'm pretty good at feeding myself mostly.  But I usually have Mac-e-mony stains on my clothes. 

After lunch we read the BABY ABC's board book and Go Dog Go.  Then we found silk-silk.  I cuddled it under me in my crib.  Then the other blue silky that is thicker was snuggled around me on top.  Mom started my music and I fell asleep. 

I like to smile big.  I love my life.  I am a happy baby.  Just don't make me MAD!
