Picture of the Day or....Two

I LOVE THESE LITTLE GUYS. While we were waiting for the preschool carpool, Joshy said "Come sit on my lap Cole!" They looked so cute in their matching clothes. After the carpool came a minute or two later, Cole got really sad that Josh had left. He fussed at the door and pointed at where Josh was. The only thing to do now is turn on Mickey Mouse Club House....being the youngest is hard!

Play group at the Fire Station

We have a cute play group in the ward on Wednesday mornings. I'm so glad we have something planned because I'm not always good at doing these things on my own. This tour was amazing. I've been on a few tours at the fire station......but this one was the best by far. After taking the kids around the inside of the fire station, they got to go in the workout room, get their hats and then go outside to see one of the trucks up close. Kids climbed in and out and posed on the back with the fireman. Then they turned on the hose and let the kids spray the water. (a rare treat here in the desert). Next the fireman demonstrated how they take there fire clothes and helmet on and off. Then we got to go inside one of the firestation ambulances and go for a ride around the station. We were definitely spoiled!
Josh is standing by one of his favorite "friends" (Hayley Linford), wink - wink. He's such a cutie all the girls flock to him!

I love Josh's face in this picture. Its such a Joshy look

Apparently I was as excited as the kids to go for a ride! Jared commented that he was glad that I still do these things with the boys even when the novelty has worn off a bit for me. I hope that I always remember to do this. I want all of my children to experience these types of fun things regardless of whether or not they are the oldest of youngest. I love little boys and taking them to fun places that they love!!

Labor Day

Chillin at the LAKE

Carter flirting with Hanna's friend Maddie....or wait, maybe he's just hangin' on for dear life

Our good friend Casey came along with his two oldest boys....its really hard wake boarding with these two around!

I know right? I'm ALMOST as good
We got a knee board for the kids.....we love it!!! There is a device on the top that holds the rope while they are getting up and then they just grab it out and go....even Brayden who is barely 6 can do it. It is so kid friendly.

Middle School Here We Come!

We are so proud of Carter. He rocks at school and is going to be such an awesome Middle Schooler. We know you are going to continue to impress your teachers and parents with your intellectual prowess! Go Desert Hawks!

Carter was worried about missing two days of his first week...but soon realized that the first week is probably the most boring because all you do is rules and routine. He felt better Tuesday so he went to school, but felt awful again on Wednesday. He made it both Thursday and Friday all day.

Carter is really excited about being in the Band. He really wanted to play trumpet...but it is popular amongst six grade boys so he wasn't sure he would get it. Hooray though he did! This week he got to go to school at night where there were lots of vendors and get his instrument. That night he favored us all and the neighborhood from the back patio with some amazing trumpet sounds. He couldn't make a sound at first, then he kept trying and voila some beautiful trumpet sounds filled the living room. He couldn't help but start smiling:)
