We have a cute play group in the ward on Wednesday mornings. I'm so glad we have something planned because I'm not always good at doing these things on my own. This tour was amazing. I've been on a few tours at the fire station......but this one was the best by far. After taking the kids around the inside of the fire station, they got to go in the workout room, get their hats and then go outside to see one of the trucks up close. Kids climbed in and out and posed on the back with the fireman. Then they turned on the hose and let the kids spray the water. (a rare treat here in the desert). Next the fireman demonstrated how they take there fire clothes and helmet on and off. Then we got to go inside one of the firestation ambulances and go for a ride around the station. We were definitely spoiled!

Apparently I was as excited as the kids to go for a ride! Jared commented that he was glad that I still do these things with the boys even when the novelty has worn off a bit for me. I hope that I always remember to do this. I want all of my children to experience these types of fun things regardless of whether or not they are the oldest of youngest. I love little boys and taking them to fun places that they love!!

what a coincidence, we're taking our coop preschool I'm in charge of on a field trip tomorrow to the fire station here! Looks like an awesome tour, you are such a fun mom.
Actually, I think it is MORE fun to go with my little guys cuz I don't have a baby to cart around and I can actually enjoy it!!!!! Good for you Geneva! We are taking our pre school trip to the fire station as well...the boys(and I) can't wait!
