We are so proud of Carter. He rocks at school and is going to be such an awesome Middle Schooler. We know you are going to continue to impress your teachers and parents with your intellectual prowess! Go Desert Hawks!
Carter was worried about missing two days of his first week...but soon realized that the first week is probably the most boring because all you do is rules and routine. He felt better Tuesday so he went to school, but felt awful again on Wednesday. He made it both Thursday and Friday all day.

Carter is really excited about being in the Band. He really wanted to play trumpet...but it is popular amongst six grade boys so he wasn't sure he would get it. Hooray though he did! This week he got to go to school at night where there were lots of vendors and get his instrument. That night he favored us all and the neighborhood from the back patio with some amazing trumpet sounds. He couldn't make a sound at first, then he kept trying and voila some beautiful trumpet sounds filled the living room. He couldn't help but start smiling:)
