Valentine's Tradition

Every year we have a special Valentine's dinner. We eat all red and pink food. The menu usually includes: sweet n sour chicken with red sauce, pink rice, red jello, strawberries, apples, kool aid and pink cake. Last year we were lucky to have our good friends the Johnsons in town. This year we had our friends the Martins join us. They brought chocolate covered strawberries, and pink and white ice-cream for dessert: a yummy addition to the menu! Its a fun thing my kids talk about all year; the one time a year their 'health teacher' mom lets them eat straight sugar for dinner. Gotta love that!

That is SO fun...and cute to see the progression from the years. I wish I had the energy to be so creative!

I am so glad you told me about the red dinner. It has now become a fun tradition in our family. I wished we could have been there with you to share your red dinner.

Ahh, good times. We didn't do a red dinner but we had everything decorated in pink and the kids had a small pink wrapped present and cute jar of valentine candy by their plate. It was a great day. Fun to see that picture from last year!!!
