A Perfect World

In a perfect world, perfect friends would always live closeby, in perfect houses (that were always clean), drive perfect cars, and their perfect kids would grow up together sharing perfect little memories of life together.

In the Real World however.....perfect friends must look forward to time spent together, after months of planning. Whatever that time may be. A few minutes, hours, days, and occasionally a PERFECT WEEK together. Where they play as hard as they can, soak in every ounce of fun, stay up late, and exhaust themselves beyond all comprehension during that time....before they have to return to their separate lives on opposite sides of the country.

The Johnsons are those perfect friends to us. We go way back to BYU where Jared and I moved into their ward after getting married. We went off to Medical school together, shared experiences through Residency, and now still have great times together when we have the chance. Thanks, Lisa and kids and Chris for this past week of fun-filled memories.....we are already looking forward to another "perfect oppurtunity" to get together again!

The kids would roll out of bed, eat some breakfast and hit the pool. We swam twice almost every day. Katie, Emily, Hanna, and Megan, were always the last ones out of the pool.
We had fun showing them our favorite "Dinosaur Park" and Splash pad. The ducks and turtles were the highlight of the morning.

This is our neighborhood park. We went over around 7:30pm when it was finally cool enough. The kids ran in the sprinklers! We also had fun showing them the Caterpillar and Butterfly park.

it's so great to have friends like that! We were lucky enough to spend a day and a half with friends that we haven't seen in 4 years!! It's fun to catch up and feel lucky G, that you are able to see the Johnsons as often as you do!!

I didn't get nearly enough time with you this past holiday....when are you coming up again?
