Labor Day Weekend in Garmisch

Visiting Garmish was one of the things we have been most looking forward to after moving to Germany.  Southern Germany has always been quaint and pituresque from what weve seen in pictures, sowe were so excited to go.  We finally got a reservation on Labor Day Weekend after trying several times in the summer and it turned out to be a great time to go!
Even the drive was beautiful....we stopped by this lake and took some time to teach the kids a lesson in rock skipping.

With each new town we drove through as we got closer....the anticipation grew until finally we arrived!

The Eidelweiss resort was built with the US military family in mind as a place to escape and enjoy much needed family time after deployments.  It is right in Garmish close to the Austrian border (you drive through part of Austria on the way) located in the Bavarian area of Germany by the Alps.
We settled in and made ourselves comfortable.  This is where Josh slept.....just joking.
