Colette and her family are here visiting Europe for seven weeks. They are using our home as a base and heading out from here to several different places. On their itinerary is: Berlin, Amsterdam, Prague, Brugge, Paris, London, Venice, Greek Isles’ Cruise, Rome and Vienna. Talk about one brave Sister in Law! Her husband Ryan is coming for the last 2.5 weeks which is the cruise and Italy. We are doing that part with them too. We also spent Memorial Day Weekend with them going to Rothenburg and Prague. WE have been planning this trip for two years (mostly Colette). Its been so great to have family here!! On the way to Prague, we took the Van De Graaffs to Rothenburg. Rothenburg is such a fun medieval city! We stayed just outside the gate into the city at a great place with giant rooms. It was a two minute walk to the outside wall. Perfect. We wasted no time getting on the wall and starting our walk around the city. We’ve been to Rothenburg once before, but it was for the Christmas Market. Its fun to go back to places at different times of the year. We had an unseasonably cold Memorial Day Weekend. We had to take our heavy coats and sweatshirts.
These are our first cousins to come sight seeing with us in Germany. We are ecstatic to have them here! Ellie, Carter, Josh, Hanna, John, Cole, Jake, William and Leah.
We love Rothenburg! It is so picturesque!
We spent a lot of time in the weapon store….. Carter and Jake bought a “Gandolf Hat”….
Best picture of the day bar none!

I am in love with those mini village houses! You can design your own Rothenburg for your home. So cute!
