Bridal Veil Falls and BYU

The second day of our Jackson Family reunion we drove to Provo and picked up Gandalfo sandwiches for lunch and then headed for Provo Canyon for a picnic. We found a beautiful shaded picnic bench and ate lunch. Then we started up the path on the very short hike to Bridal Veil Falls. It was gorgeous up there. We all took our shoes off and waded in the water. It was so cold that I started to get a headache from it!!
My younger brother Anthony has the cutest, lightest two little kiddos. It was so funny to me when he started carrying both of them like this.
Hiking to Bridal Veil--Carter and Harrison

Brrrrr!
After the falls, we headed to BYU bookstore and campus. (All five of my siblings are alumni as well as 4 of our spouses). We love BYU!! We got some sweatshirts, t-shirts, caps, books, and of course stopped by the CREAMERY for some famous ice-cream and shakes before hitting the road back to Salt Lake. Such a fun day! We tried to talk Jake out of this funky woodsy BYU hat, but it is what he really wanted more than anything else we steared him toward. We (meaning me) finally caved and let him get it. He wore it for days after. Go BYU!
