Grandma and Grandpa Jackson
We were lucky to have G'ma and G'pa come for a short visit and see Hanna's big performance. They played games with us and came to last days of school parties, and gave out many hugs & kisses.
Grandma is always up for a game of Settlers of Catan. Carter and Hanna are getting really good. Joshy really wanted to play Monopoly, but we had already said we would play Settlers with the big kids, so Grandpa came to the rescue and played with Jake and Josh. Josh practiced counting and learned a lot about sorting money and properties.
Carter and Hanna's teachers are really good friends and somehow distantly related. Which worked well for us because their year end parties were together! They sung a bunch of songs about the 50 states, the Declaration of Independence, and our government. It was a really cute program. After it there was lots of good food.

Hanna was Washington, and Carter was Indiana

Cute little Wolves!
Ms. Lamb was such a great teacher for Carter. She really had his personality pinned down. (She has a son who is similar). She finished her thesis this year on how to motivate learners. She highlighted Carter in it because he is really bright, but only wants to do as much as he has to, to get an A. (He has a hard time putting in extras or going the extra mile). With a few of her techniques, she was able to push him and get him to positively respond and go the extra mile with his learning. He had a great year. He maintained an A average all year inspite of being challenged by the 5th grade curriculum several times. Great Job!! Now on to Middle School.....already???.......stay tuned.

what a great school year, that's neat Grandma and Grandpa were able to come to the end of the year programs and to Hanna's play! It sounds like Carter had an amazing teacher.
