CALLING ALL WITCHES!!

I'm sooo blessed to have Missy live near me now.  We go way back to Medical School where we moved into her ward in Maryland.  We were pregnant with our first kids together and both had boys.  Now that she is in Vegas, we have picked up where we left off and have had so much fun together.  Her and Melissa came up with this idea to have a "Witchy" party.  I thought it sounded fun and as always can't pass up a good "dress-up" party!! 

I was so excited to make the invites especially after I found the perfect potion bottles at JoAnns

The invite says: Double Double Boil and Trouble, Fire burn and cauldron bubble. Dust off your broom in costume clad fly on over or you will be sad.  For on this wicked night you are summoned, to come and join the witches coven!  Witches Night Out...etc. RSVP Millicent White or Glinda Chugg

Like mother, like daughter

Everyone helped bring food and wow it was yummy.  We had pumpkin cheescake, Pumpkin Black bean soup, Cheese tortellini soup, avocado bean dip, veggies, bruschetta, oreo truffles, decorated like eyeballs, and much much more. 

Missy lives in a different ward just a few miles away from us....so we have met each others friends and all have a lot of fun together.  We invited friends from both wards to come.  A lot of our pictures didn't turn out that great due to the fog machine, and black lights and colored bulbs in the lamps. 

Melissa, Missy and I stayed up super late the night before the party and decorated the place to the hilt.  This is Millicent posing in her Haunted House

These two are hilarious.  They came as rocker witches.  Emily and Melinda always liven things up a bit

Jen and Whitney bought toulle and made their skirts and then got tights to match.  They were adorable! 

So JaCoy is on the far right in this picture.  She is 8 months pregnant so on her tummy she made a vinyl white  skeleton wearing a witches hat. Isn't she so creative and cute?    If you notice the name tags on everyone its their witchy name they got to pick as they entered the party.   They had names such as Agatha, Lucinda, Hestia, Zelda, Ethel, Esmerelda, Sabrina, Elvira, Elphaba, Minerva, Dolores, and Phoebe to choose from.  I think I had the most fun just trying to research and find witchy names on the internet.  FYI  there are still 'real' witches out there with websites and covens to join if you are intersted Waaa- ha-ha-ha -ha!

Isn't Whitney adorable....underneath that itchy wig that she borrowed from CHER is hiding her long, beautiful, blond hair. 

Melissa helped put together our potion corner.  She found lots of these labels on line and then just added them to her bottles.  It turned out sooo cool.  Especially with the black light lit behind it. There was one with human flesh, one with dead man's toes, snake oil, vampire fangs, toad fingers, moon dust, eyeballs, and vampire blood!  Melissa also found these old time pictures on line of creepy looking people.  We covered Missy's family room wall collage with pictures of her family into a creepy display of oldtime pictures taped right over the top of the other frames.  Again, I think we had the most fun decorating and planning this party!

The waterfall Witches....aren't they cute!!  Great Job Missy on the vision of this totally wicked party!  We need to make it a tradition.
