Ever have a Bad Day??

So today was a bad day.  I was relaying it to my kids during dinner and they started giggling uncontrollably so I decided I needed to record all the craziness somewhere.  So here it is:,

****Keep in mind that I'm having dizzy syptoms all day long trying to recover from a week long cruise while this is all taking place:

I woke up early donned my running clothes, and headed to the Sun City Recreation Center to Vote for one of the High Councilmen of our Stake who is running for city council.  I got a personal phone call from him on Sunday reminding me to vote today because he could see on his list that I hadn't yet voted.  (awesome).  I explained that I had planned to vote by mail, but that we went on a cruise all last week and I forgot to send it in before we left.  So it was a priority today.   It was only supposed to take 5 minutes in and out....but I somehow broke the machine.  I got a card with my secret voting number on it, put it into the machine and it stalled on me.  It wouldn't let me vote.  They finally got it to take my vote (they think) but then my card would not come out.  The head voter dude has to call the head quarters they explain what is on my screen.  Congratulations they say "We've never seen that screen before"!  So after everyone's best efforts my card still won't come out, they put a big red sign reading "Temporarily out of order" on my machine and they send me on my way.  I'm shaking my head the whole way home just thinking about  Br. Wagner calling back and asking me why I didn't vote.  I tried, I think it worked, I swear!!

So with the voting taking longer than I had planned, I was in a rush to get the younger school kids out the door when I got back.  Jake wasn't up yet and hasn't been feeling well with a fever and tummy ache for two days so I'm trying to hurry him along and figure out if he is well enough to go back to school.  I finally decide since I can't get him moving that I will send Hanna on the bus and take him after I drop off the preschool carpool.  Dylan (a preschooler) arrives at the door because his mom is going on a FIELD TRIP and needs to be at the school so I need to take him to preschool.  No problem.  I get everyone in the car including Jake and Dylan and we are on our way to preschool.  Oh yeah, I'm watching Ammon this morning let me get him too from our next door neighbors.  Relieved I didn't forget him, we are on the way.  About half way to preschool Jake lets out a "Oh no!  Today is Tuesday its my field trip day".  They are leaving at 9:30.  Its 9:10 right now.  He is crying uncontrollably as we arrive to preschool.  Then I realize I forgot to pick up SAM.  We've been carpooling to preschool all year!  Why would I forget SAM?  Uhhh maybe because I have 3 extra kids in my car this morning that aren't usually there??

I also realize Jake needs a lunch and snack to go on Field trip.  AHHHH!  We race back to pick up Sam while I call his mom to tell her we are on our way and that I am so sorry we are soooo LATE this morning.  I don't even tell her I forgot her kid (who does that?) because I'm feeling like such a heel at this point and devastated that I forgot SAM!  (Amy if you are reading this please forgive me for not telling you).

We stop by the house and make a 2 minute sack lunch and grab a snack and we are on our way to the school for the field trip.  I have called my friend Brandy the one who dropped her preschooler off to me because she was going on a field trip...... yeah the same field trip Jake is going on.  You think I could have put that together before I did, but again still a little wonky from our cruise.  I ask her to hold the buses that Jake is almost there and she informs me that they aren't leaving until after 10:00 am.  Thank goodness!  I get him to school, checked in and hope he is well enough to be there and won't be sick again.

Head to preschool drop off Sam (only 41 minutes late) and then to my friend Bethany's house to help her clean.  They are just moving in and she is about to have her 5th baby in the next week or two.  The cleaning went fairly well, minus the losing my balance and falling off her tub since my equilibrium is still suffering from the cruise, luckily I wasn't hurt, just felt ungraceful!  Cole is sleeping and Ammon is watching the show on the ipad.  I check on them and Ammon is doing the pee-pee dance....oh and it looks like he's had a little accident darn it.....he finishes most of it in the potty and I feel happy that it wasn't too bad.  Finish cleaning in time to go pick up the preschoolers LATE no less since I couldn't get to my watch whilst wearing my cleaning gloves.

We pick up baby McCoy and head home. I'm on co-op this afternoon.  Its going to be busy.  Because of all the mom's helping to clean Bethany's house, I end up with 10 kids under the age of 5.  Two of which are babies around 1 years old who are ready for naps.  Oh my.  I'm already feeling a bit tired.  Ammon's ride arrives to take him to preschool.  Uh-oh he's had another accident.  He's infamous for this.  I get him some of Joshy's underwear and shorts and send him on his way with a sandwich in hand wondering what the heck his parents gave him to drink at breakfast time.

Rachel stays to help me put her baby down and I get the other one down too.  I get a movie on for the four little girl's who have been patiently asking for about a half hour now and finally get lunch made for the preschoolers who haven't eaten yet.

I decide that working out is not going to happen and go get dressed and curl my hair.  I feel like a new person dressed and make-up and hair done.  But I still haven't been able to eat yet, breakfast or lunch.  Mom's start coming to claim their children.  Things are slowing down.  Darin and Jen come to tell me about there crazy day (a totally different crazy story for another time).  I finally get to eat something around 3pm.  My school kids are coming home now.  The last two mom's are picking up their kids.  Bethany, the one about to have a baby whose house we were all cleaning, comes in to change her daughter's diaper and wash her hands.  As she's about to leave, Cole goes into the office and dumps almost an entire jar of fish food into the tank of fish and frogs.  This is dangerous as the fish and frogs can eat too much and die.  Carter totally flips out (which he probably would have handled this better if he wasn't so tired from our week long vacation).  He starts crying hysterically and screaming at Cole.  I nicely help Bethany to the door as my house and children are in chaos and close the door behind her.  I'm feeling embarrased.  Welcome to the CHUGGS. That was Bethany's first visit to our home .  I let Jared solve the fish food crisis of 2011 in the office while I started cleaning up the breakfast cereal bowls and sticky syrup that are still all over the counter from breakfast.  Yes I said Breakfast.

I hope its a long time before my life attacks me again like it did today.
