Sawmill Falls Street

Its always hard to know when you move somewhere if the neighborhood is going to be a good fit. After searching and looking at over 30 houses on our house hunting trip, we found this neighborhood and street. Our friends the Taylors came up to look at houses the same weekend and fell in love with our floor plan and the neighborhood we were thinking about. We both ended up buying the same house right across from each other. It has turned out to be way better than we could have ever planned ourselves. Lots of fun families and kids to play with. Our end of Sawmill Falls Street has turned into a pretty close knit group. Thanks to the wonderful Gabriel family, we are always having fun block parties in the street. Lori is the master social mind behind it all. So Friday after school let our for spring break, found our "block" in the street playing and having dinner. We are going to miss our fun friends on Sawmill Falls Street.

Another fun thing about our street is that we have very entrepenureal (is that a word?) minded kids. We take turns selling goods to the neighborhood and having little stands. So far we have had lemonade stands, cotton candy (Allreds), Hawaiian Shave Ice (Gabriels), Dippin Dots (Jadyn), Chugg Chillers (shakes and hot chocolate), and the cookie and cupcakery (the Andersons). It is a great way for the kids to have fun, advertise, and earn a few dollars!

There were quite a few chocolate faces thanks to Jen's famous dipped strawberries!
Tiffany and her mom Leah.  Tiffany lives right across the street.  We often fight over her for  babysitting.  Its so great because at the end of the night we just walk her back home!  Easy and she's awesome with the kids.
The cute Gabriels.  They are such a cute family.  Bria and Hanna do HollyWood Kids and Koby is so fun to play with for Jake and Josh.
The "Corn Hole" game came out for the first time.  Its a very popular game in Ohio where Jen and Darin lived before moving to Vegas.

Goofy Cole was trying to play catch with Carter and Daddy, but was more silly than anything.
