Josh’s Kindergarten class along with two other classes had a joint dinner and performance. It was so cute. Josh is loving school and being so big. He has a cute class and playground and is very happy. He knew the songs so well and had a cute grin that we know so well!
Right before Thanksgiving Jake had this Volcano project due at school. We thought the timing was terrible! Jared and he got the report all put together and I helped Jake design it using homemade playdoh, food coloring and palm trees. He got to explode it in front of the whole class at school.
We shared Thanksgiving dinner with our neighbors the Turners next door. It was so great how we did it. Christy made the Turkey, potatoes, gravy, corn, rolls and some pies, and I made the side dishes. We made candied yams, broccoli casserole, stuffing, and we also made three different kinds of pies. Everything was delicious and we made sure to have extra for leftovers. We are blessed to have the Turners right next door. They have a daughter exactly Hanna’s age, a son Jake’s age, and a son Josh’s age.
The tween and teenagers.
Hanna had Kaitlyn came over Wednesday night to bake pies. These girls did an amazing job. They pretty much made ALL of the crusts, the apples for the apple pie, the pumpkin pie and I did the pecan filling. I was really proud of them! Hanna can already make better pie crust at 11 than I could in college. They really had fun making the different shaped leaves and decorating the tops of these pies. They looked professional! Go Girls!!!
