Birthday Date Night

For my Birthday Date Night this year, some of my friends here planned a really fun night.  We started out climbing at the Rock Wall on base at Outdoor Rec.  I hadn’t done this since BYU days.  It was great fun……but way harder than I remember.  It couldn’t be that I’m heavier and older though.  It just couldn’t!

The food was really good this night.  I got the giant mushroom raviolis up top and we all ordered bruschetta for an appetizer.  They make amazing Bruschetta says Amber and Ryan who lived in Italy for 3 years previous to being here.  Jared got the pasta below which was a ham and white sauce which was soooo good.

Annie got this salad…..Germans know how to make salads.  All of the restaurants here whether German or not have amazing salads.  I love them.  I’ve decided Americans need to learn from them.  They have so many ingredients all together and very little lettuce leaves.  Its all about the other items.

Okay…..I’m so sad this picture did not turn out.  Its totally blurry.  Our server did not know what she was doing bless her.  I adore all these people and sooo wanted a great photo from the night.  Maybe next year?  The Jensens, Tintles, Prices, us, and the Barneys.  Good times!  After the restaurant we went back to the Prices and ate the most amazing chocolate cake that Amber makes….recipe from Jen Carter who is a friend from Vegas who lived by the Barneys in Alaska.  Small World!

I love that last picture, even though it's not tack sharp. Wish we could have made it.
