Garmisch for Winter Break

We put in for the lottery for Winter Break to stay at Eidelweiss Lodge all the way back in June and surprisingly got it!  Its such a popular Christmas destination that they do a lottery every year for it.  We love the Eidelweiss Lodge and surrounding Garmisch area.  Its so beautiful and lots of fun.  So we spent three of our last fun-filled days of Winter Break hanging out in the Bavarian Alps.
We drove in town when we first arrived and found a place to rent ski gear for Jared, Carter, Hanna, and Jake.  They had plans to hit  the Alps first thing in the morning…..Josh and Cole and I had plans to sleep in and take it easy!  Next we ran into the downtown area and met up with the Zauggs and Clarks from the Ward who happened to also be vacationing in town!  We ate at an authentic German restaurant right down town.  Fun to see familiar faces.  The Zauggs have kids all our kids ages and the Clarks have Jessica who is Hanna’s age.
