We woke up on June 14th all kinds of excited for our trip to Southern Germany with The Van De Graaffs. I got the little boys dressed and then Cole abruptly vomited all over the landing just outside of the bathroom. Then proceeded to make a trail all the way to the toilet. Why is it so awesome being a mom? We didn’t let it slow us down…..well maybe a little. An hour later we were headed out in the van with reinforcements to help the “sickee” along the way. Poor Cole was so sick for two and a half days….finally he started feeling better but was a grump the rest of the trip!
We made it to Munich in time to see the famous Glockenspiel do its dance. With Cole being sick and needing to rest a lot I opted to stay back at the hotel while everyone else headed for The Hofbrau Haus. The Van De Graaffs were excited to see Munich since this is where their Dad served in Germany on his mission.
After some time downtown, we headed to the BMW show room. Cole fell asleep on a nearby bench, and I took 5 minutes and stole a quick picture of this BEAUTIFUL new BMW! Love the flat paint. It was a gorgeous car.
Next headed down further into Bavaria to The Eidelwiess resort in Garmisch Germany. We of course had to take the Van De Graaffs up the Altspitze to get up close and personal with the Alps!
The big kids and Jared met us in Garmisch since they had been at Europa Park the day before with all of their friends from school.
Josh’s souvenir from the weekend was his new German duds…. Now Cole and him get to play German dress ups!
FLASHBACK!!!!!!! Two years ago we took a picture in this spot. Have we changed?
A Beautiful day! We love the Alps when they are covered in wild flowers……
We rounded out the day with lots of German Food at our favorite restaurant in Garmisch!
