I am in love with these yellow flowers that dot the countryside everywhere in Germany right now. It is the Rape seed plant which produces an oily seed that canola oil is made from as well as bio diesel fuel and can be used for animal feed. How’s that for being multi-purposed? One day when Cole had fallen asleep in the car, I drove around looking for good views of them. This village is a neighboring village called Reichenbach-Steegan. Some of the pictures are also from Albersbach which is part of Reichenbach-Steegan.
The other side of Schwedelbach….you can see the outdoor soccer field off to the left with the green cage. This is on the way out of town towards Weilerbach. (pronounced: Vilerbach). I’m also learning that these lovely flowers are also highly allergenic for a lot of people. That explains a lot…..the itchy, watery eyes, runny nose, itchy throat, etc.
