After our Sound of Music Tour, we wanted to go check out a few more sights of Salzburg. It was a very hot day at this point and we were getting tired, but pressed on and saw some great things! This town square:
We ran in to the Flakes too!
Then ran into the Kartchners (when you vacation with 65 people from your ward, you’re bound to bump into a few of them at the sights!)
We heard some great classical music from some instruments we’ve never seen before:
Started hiking up to the Hohensalzburg Fortress and then rethought that and bought tickets for the Furnicular!
Stopped by this super cool cemetery that was the inspiration for the cemetery scenes in the Sound of Music where they are hiding from the Germans, (recreated in Hollywood at Fox studios)
Climbed some stairs to get this view:
Finally we were at the top of the Hohensalzburg Fortress peering down on all of Salzburg!
We came across this “weird and creepy puppet museum” at the top:
While walking back to the buses to take us to our car, we came across this store called Hanna spelled Hanna’s way! So cool!
