Chatsworth House is a stately home in the county of Derbyshire in the East Midlands region of England. It lies within the Derbyshire Dales administrative district, about 3.5 miles (5.6 km) northeast of Bakewell and 9 miles (14 km) west of Chesterfield. It is the seat of the Duke of Devonshire, and has been home to his family, the Cavendish family, since Bess of Hardwick settled at Chatsworth in 1549.
It has been selected as England’s favorite country estate for several years and is the famous “Pemberley” location for the 2005 version of Pride and Prejudice with Keira Knightly and Matthew MacFadeyn. It offered a wonderful visit inside and out for us….lots of grass and gardens to explore for curious, rambunctious, little boys!
Cole wanted a picture where “it looks like I’m holding it up” with this statue. He’s so entertaining!
The gardens were fun to explore. Especially the maze made out of trees and bushes. It was really difficult actually!
The biggest leafs ever:
Cutie, Patootie Boys!
On our way driving out, I found quite possibly the cutest house in the UK!
