Jake and I had such a great day together on his field trip to the Heidelberg Christmas Market. I love to spend one on one time with my Jakey…..he is such a sweet and sensitive boy. He brings so much joy into my life. He’s my sunshine boy. It was quite the cold day! We bundled up and had a great time.
Lisa and her little boys joined us for a few hours. We hiked to the top of the city where the castle above Heidelberg sits. Lisa needed to make a purchase at the gift shop and we hadn’t been up there before. It was a spectacular view: Jake loved blowing this powdery snow into the wind and then having it spring back all over us. It was pretty cool!
After trying several different food items, buying some souveniers, and walking down to Build a Bear Workshop…..it was time to head back to the train stop and call it a day. We were exhausted when we got back home. The two hour train ride made for a long day, but it was a fun way to go!
We call these corkscrew potatoes. They are so yummy and fun to eat. They break off like little potato chips. Yum!
I’m gonna miss this girl next year!
