After picking up Kandra, Patrick, and Grandma at the airport with our signs, (white paper with “Grandma” and “Aunt Kandra and Uncle Patrick” in plain black type), we headed straight for Burg Eltz Castle in the Mosel Valley. We had the most perfect weather and such a great time trying out Grandma’s wheel chair on the hill down to the castle. It’s a very steep road and we kept joking we were gonna just let her go! Finally it was so steep that we ended up taking the bus down.
It was the perfect way to start our visit out! It was so fun to have them here!! We were all soooooo excited for our first Jackson side of the family visitors.
All the flowers were still out and it was gorgeous!
