Versailles: No visit to Paris is complete without seeing it! It was a quick visit, but always awesome!
King Louis the 14th the Sun King: The master mind behind this massive edifice
This amazing hall of mirrors was a real masterpiece of its time. Mirrors were very prestigious and the size of these would have shown extreme wealth and extravagance.
LOVE this girl and her obsession with ART!
The grounds are always a really neat part of visiting Versailles. We didn’t have much time, but we were able to see a little bit!
After our tour of Versaille we met Clemence our tour guide outside of Versaille and headed to Giverny to check out Monet’s Garden. She was super excited to show us the grave sights of The “Monets” at a little church not far from Giverny.
Monet became really intrigued with Japanese culture and gardens. He had this one built and designed right by his home. It of course is the inspiration for all of his famous Water Lilly paintings.
Right before we took this picture, this cute couple got engaged right here on this bridge! Awesome!
The gardens right by Monet’s home are the coolest! Hanna and I spent and hour just taking pictures of these flowers: (she is my daughter!)
The tour inside was awesome. Better than expected. Hanna loved the yellow dining room. Too bad, no photos allowed! (yes I actually adhered this time)
After returning to Paris before calling it a night, we headed to Notre Dame cathedral. I love the inside!
We walked along the Seine to head back to our apartment which was located a block and a half from the Louvre. Don’t let the location fool you……it was special…… in a weird, twisted, kinda way.
