Just Relaxing

One thing we haven’t done on ANY of our trips in Europe is take a day or two off to relax from sight seeing.  These trips are definitely trips and not VACATIONS.  We love all of our trips and don’t EVER complain about the great things we are seeing, but every once in awhile we are pretty excited to just relax on our trips and it quickly changes to a vacation if only for a day or two or an hour or two! 

With the Johnsons moving soon we are were pretty happy to take a day off from touring and just spend time with our friends.  Can’t believe its been two years together here in Europe.  The time has just slipped by so fast.  We have LOVED every minute that we have spent with them and that our kids could “grow-up” together.  Its so great that we have had best friends to share these military years with who always understand the military life and what we are going through with all of the changes and ups and downs of moving a lot.  Johnsons…..we will be lost without you, but are so happy that Colorado Springs will be welcoming you soon! 

With the big house hunting trip coming up for them two days after Spring Break, Chris and Lisa spent lots of time looking at houses for sale and weighing the pros and cons of buying an existing home or building a new.  We were along for the ride because who doesn’t like looking at houses on line???  The kids ran and played in our big front yard and all through the “Palace Mansion”.  There were several games of BANG, Carcassonne, and DOMINION going at all times.  Good times. 

After lunch, Lisa and I slipped away for a quick walk around Quillan with our cameras for an hour.  We talked about the “Tatoo’d Mormon”, the awesome French countryside, quaint Quillan, struggles with  friends, and siblings.  It was so great to have an hour all to myself of pure Lisa time.  Love this girl.  Gonna miss having her in my same time zone!  

We were kinda of in heaven with all the cute shutters and door colors that little Quillan, France has to offer.  What a fun place….soon we were trying to find doors in every color of the rainbow!  How did we do?
