A BIRTHDAY Baptism

JUNE 17, 2011  I felt the spirit on my baptism day.  We took lots and lots of pictures which was very boring.  Then we listened to talks by mom and Grandpa Boyd.  Then I got baptized.  The water was warm.  I felt warm inside.  We watched my Baptism video that had pictures of me from all ages.  After that I got confirmed. I got the Holy Ghost that is what made me feel warm.  I got to say my testimony.  Hunter was there, Oliver, Sabrina, Austin, Andrew, Audrey, and all the grandparents and Aunt Kandra, Uncle Anthony, and Aunt Rachel, Uncle Dave, and Aunt Sara, Ashley Andrew, and Alyssa, Aunt Heather, Strider, Maylan, and Luke too.    

After the baptism we had a party at Grandma Karyl's house.  We ate lots of food.  I got to open my presents.  A lego guy, a transformer, a swiss army knife, Mario Galaxy 2, blue scriptures and case with my name on them, a Cub Scout shirt and book, and a picture of my AIR Soft GUN!!  Which was already on its way to Germany, along with a picture of my new bedding for my very own bed and room!  It was an AWESOME BIRTHDAY!!!

I just love 8 year old birthdays! So much anticipation and emotions go into Baptisms.  It worked out that we needed to baptize sweet Jake in Utah on his actual Birthday...... since we were already out of our house in Vegas.  We had to plan way ahead and get everything organized in advance.  It turned out perfect.  I can't think of a better way to spend our last day before moving than with our families participating in this sweet ordinance with Jake.  We felt blessed that so many of our loved ones were in attendance to share this day with us.  Jake we love you and are so pleased with your testimony and the fine boy you are developing into.
