A Wise friend (Susan) once said "It wouldn't be good if it didn't hurt when you left somewhere. It would mean you hadn't invested your time and self into it. How sad would it be not to have invested in any part of your life? But because it does hurt you know it was worth it and that it really became part of you". Wise words spoken from a fellow military Dr. wife who knows what it feels like to say goodbye over and over again.
Most of these pictures speak for themselves:
Carter saying goodbye to his first pet FERB. This was the final straw for Carter. He hadn't been emotional up to this point, but after this it was over. Ferb, Fred (our two frogs), and our their fish friends have a new home right next door to their old one. Thanks Allreds for taking our pets we know they are in good hands.
Aspen came over on Sunday for one last play date. I couldn't help but stop and take a picture of these two girls playing together. Do you ever want to just freeze frame time for a moment? I sat and watched them play cards and thought about what a cute age these girls have been while being friends. So cute with each other, they never fight, or be mean, they just dance and sing, do chalk drawings, giggle, play pretend games in backyards, ride bikes, and support each other in whatever they are doing. I just want them to stay this age forever.
One last dinner with the Whites.
Love these guys!
Oh how I will miss holding and snuggling sweet Aynsley and going to lunch with her mom:)
The jammie clad Thornton kids came over to say goodbye. One last Pokemon trade!
One last snuggle with little Evelyn. The Thorntons came over to say Goodbye and give us a last toast to friendship with Martinellis.
Casey and Jared
Goodbye house. I loved this kitchen. The first time I saw it I cried. The last time I saw it I cried.
Last parting shots.

aww, it's sad to see your house all empty. We had so many good times there-at least our memories there are not and never will be empty!
I love this post! I don't LOVE that you are gone, you know that!!! But everything you said was so true. You amaze me girl. We are leaving on our cruse in the morning! Call me a week from Sunday, when I get back home! I love that we have the blogs to stay connected!!
Geneva, I know that your heart must be so heavy. I remember how I felt and it is hard.
Can't wait to hear and keep up through the blog.
Love ya. Hang in there. It will get better.
