The love and support of our family and friends during this time has been so amazing. I can not begin to list every last memory and party that we have had to well wish us in our new adventure. Our Las Vegas Family (our close friends) were so awesome to share so many last memories with us and when we got to Utah it was no different. We had a celebration every night we were there. We have felt so LOVED during the past few months. Thank you all for showing your support, kindness, and love. It has been truly heartfelt. We have carried that with us as we have taken on the task of moving to another country!!
We got to hang out with Anthony's family on Wednesday and Grandma and Grandpa Jackson. We went to Boondocks together and mini golfed as well as played a lot of video games. Wheel of Fortune was a favorite. By the end we were all standing around it trying to help each other figure out the phrases.
It was really sad to say goodbye to Anthony's kids. They are exactly Josh and Cole's age and are so cute together. They have expressed their sadness many times to us about taking the only grandkids close to their kid's ages away.... but have always been quick to add that they will be excited for us and our new adventure.
That night, Anthony and Rachel threw us a neat going away party. It was goodbye America on one side with USA food and colors and fruit kabobs and Hello Germany on the other with German food, fruit kabobs, and cupcakes. It turned out really cute and the food was amazing! Thanks guys!
Visting with Grandpa Anderson is always a treat!
Karyl liked Rachel's idea so much for the USA/ German party theme that the very next night she used it for her going away party for us. It was really nice that she did this for us. All of the Aunts and Uncles and close friends were invited to stop by, eat, and wish us well. It was great to see everyone again since it will be awhile until we will again.
I loved having my parents there too so we could spend our last week with them also.
